nals most often used in the process industry worldwide. With

more than 25 years of experience and knowledge in explosion

protection, and with our unique product range, we can offer

customer-specific terminal solutions. Intelligent transmission

units with KVM Classic / KVM over IP, and Thin Client techno-logy ensure perfect and reliable data transmission in your

plant. The Remote HMI series can be connected to VGA / PS2 /

DVI and USB, and offers state-of-the-art display technology to

up to 24 Full HD widescreen size. In this way, our Remote

HMIs today already meet the future requirements of the lea-

ding process control system manufactures in widescreen dis-

plays for on-site operation in hazardous areas.

Our latest digital data transmission system allows a variety of

combinations, such as simultaneous communication between

multiple Remote HMIs and multiple PCs, for example for appli-cations of PLS and MES, as well as access from several HMIs

to one PC.

Open HMIOpen for all software applicationsthis is the principle of our

Panel PCs with integrated, multilingual Windows Embedded or

Windows Professional operating system. They start quickly and

reliably without any download from external drivesa vital

aspect in particular for the petrochemical industry. Extensively

tested Intel Atom processors ensure high-speed, reliable,

and continuous performance.

The use of high-quality, industrial grade components and a

specific front cooling system allow a continuous operation at

extreme conditions, with temperatures ranging from -30C up

to +50C. Moreover, all EXICOM Panel PCs come with touch-

screen.

zing filter system. This new system allows an unparalleled

Operator Interface EAGLEThe Operator Interface EAGLE has been developed for both,

standard full graphic process visualizations, and more complex

PLC connections. The 10 - 15 displays are equipped with a

variety of functions for customized applications, and can be

connected to current Ethernet interfaces, for example Profinet,

Ethernet IP and Modbus TCP, as well as to Modbus and MPI,

and other serial interfaces. All EAGLEs have a pre-configuredoperating system for immediate operation; a driver installation

etc. is not necessaryideal for applications in the process,

packaging or tank farm / marine automation.

Our professional SPSPlusWIN software provides easy and cost-

saving engineering.

The combination of intelligent hardware and software makes

our EAGLEs the worlds most popular HMIs in this category;

they can be used in a temperature range of -30C up to +55C.

Operator Interface FALCONThe FALCON HMIs can be used for access control tank farms,

operations at machine-level, and simple automation tasks. The

approx. 5 LCD monochrome displays operate reliably at tem-

peratures ranging between -20C up to +70C. Equipped with

transflective LED backlight displays for good readability, the

FALCON HMIs are ideal for all standard operating tasks.

All versions of the FALCON series feature a number of custo-

mizable function keys, soft keys and alphanumeric keys, thus

allowing greater flexibility in individual applications. Card rea-

der modules for operator control can easily be integrated into

the enclosures.

All FALCONs come with a pre-configured operating system and

the SPSPlusWIN Lite engineering software for immediate op-

Remote HMITwo different series and a variety of transmission technologies offer the full

spectrum of remote system possibilities: classic point-to-point KVM solutions,

network-based KVM over IP, and Thin Client technologies. They can be used as

a bridge between networks and different process automation systems.

Open HMI / Panel PCThe Panel PC series is equipped with fast Intel Atom processors, and

ready for use in Ethernet networks. With integrated card readers, they can be

very efficiently used in tank farm automation. And with integrated automation

software, they are used as standard in machine automation.

Operator Interfaces EAGLEEAGLE HMIs run on their own integrated operating system. They are immedi-ately ready for use in the network architecture, and the comfortable SPSPlus-

WIN software allows easy engineering. With the variety of interfaces, and IP

connectivity, the EAGLE is an easy-to-use instrument for machine and tank

farm automation systems.

Operator Interfaces FALCONThe FALCON HMIs ensure easy machine operation and monitoring. They can

seamlessly be integrated in any kind of automation systems. FALCONs can

easily be combined with reader systems, such as barcode and RFID, and are

therefore ideally suitable for tank farm automation.

ET-536 /-556 MT-536 /-556PC installed in the safe area, HMI installed on-site in the hazar-

dous areathis is the most common principle applied in the

process industry. The process control system installed on the

server is available on-site. The multifunctional system offers a

variety of data transmission options: classic point-to-point con-

nection over KVM box (KVM Classic IP), and with or without

KVM box within the network architecture (Thin Client or KVM

over IP). Advanced digital data transmission ensures optimal

image quality and a variety of configurations.

To save software licensing costs for example, up to 4 remote

HMIs can be connected to one KVM box via Ethernet switch,

and simultaneously can communicate with multiple PCssuit-

able for example for production process control and simulta-

neous condition monitoring. Multi-monitoring with on-site

terminals is as easy to realize as Thin Client server environ-

ments with virtual workstations.

Data transmission is realized physically via copper cable, fiber

optic or WLAN.

The integrated software ensures maximum data transmissionand permanent data flow control; any faults will immediately

be identified and visualized.

As standard, all displays (15 / 19) are equipped with touch-

screen, soft keyboard and additional function keys for indivi-

dual assignment.

The ET-5 / MT-5 series, its features and intelligent KVM box,

not only meets, but significantly exceeds todays requirements

of remote PC terminals.

T-Ex / T-IndThe T-series has been developed to meet advanced require-

ments of process control system manufacturers for widescreen

terminals in hazardous areas.

A special feature of the T-series is the unparalleled image

quality: High-quality, energy-saving LED technology is com-

bined with display sizes of up to 24, resolutions up to Full HD

(1920 x 1080), and aspect ratios of 5:4 / 16:9 and 16:10.

The T-series meets the most recent, and highest ecological

standards, with energy savings of up to 50% compared to

conventional CFL displays, and it is cadmium-, lead, and mer-

cury-free.

Several functional principles are available:

KVM-USBa point-to-point connection, also digital, according

to the latest Windows standard.

KVM Classica point-to-point connection, also digital, but

with conventional DVI and USB connections to the PC. Old and

current systems can operate with on-site stations of 19 up to

24, and resolutions of 1280 x 1024 up to 1920 x 1080 (FullHD).

Thin Client / KVM over IPin future, advanced Thin Client

applications will replace standard KVM box connections. The

remote HMI can not only be connected to the KVM box, but

also used as Thin Client. If multiple remote terminals are re-

quired, and in order to save licensing costs, up to 4 remote

terminals can be connected via Ethernet switch to the KVM box

displaying the same image simultaneously on all workstations.

The T-Terminals have been developed and designed for ad-

vanced, energy-saving on-site operation in the process indus-

try, and are suitable for application in hazardous and safe

areas, such as solvent-containing environments, food proces-

sing or sterile cleanroom environments.

smaller full-screen visualizations in hazardous areas. The HMIs

of this series are network compatible, and ensure easy commu-

nication with any automation systems.

All EAGLE terminals are a cost saving all-in-one solution:

Configured with an own operating system, and empowered by

SPSPlusWIN software, they do not incur neither runtime costs

nor software licensing costs. Among the many features of this

software are the import / export functions of Excel, multilin-

guality, Ethernet upload and download, etc. This software of-

fers a variety of functions to ensure the optimal visualization

and operation of processes supporting international character

sets (Unicode).

Equipped with a high-performance, energy-saving AMD-LX

processors, and resistive touchscreens, EAGLE HMIs ensure

fast and easy operationeven at extreme temperatures ran-

ging between -30C up to +55C.

Data communication is realized via Ethernet (CAT5 / fiber optic),

or serial ports (RS 232 / 422 / 485) with common controllers,such as Siemens S7, or Rockwell Logix. Easy-to-install card

FALCONFALCONs are the ideal solution for visualization at machine

level in hazardous areas. Designed for connectivity to PLC, they

can be used for single-machine operation, operator access con-

trol in tank farms, and with GL / DNV approval also on LGN

tank ships. In addition, Wiegand, Mifare, and other card rea-

ders can easily be integrated into the field enclosure.

The FALCON series can be connected to all main automation

systems. The variety of function keys and soft keys available in

the different product variants offers a multitude of individual

function key assignments. Data transmission via Profibus DP,

Modbus, MPI, and other serial protocols are among the charac-

teristic communication tasks.

The pre-installed SPSPlusWIN Lite software allows cost-saving

basic engineering, facilitates planning efforts, and relieves the

PLC control.

The FALCON series is perfect for worldwide applications at

machine level. The transflective LCD monochrome display sup-

ported by LED backlights provides optimal readability. And reli-

able operation is ensured even at temperatures rangingbetween -20C up to +70C.
