Evolving our Environmental Commitment
Since it’s inception Holden has operated from the inside out with
environmental consciousness. From creating to improving upon
the original ‘eco-friendlier’ performance hemp-fiber fabric to using
the environmentally minded Schoeller® C_Change™ 3-layer technology,
we are 100% devoted to evolving the eco niche we helped pioneer.
Over the years, Holden has done more than simply establish a token
‘green collection’ in our line - we’ve committed to making every
single product possible with sustainability in mind. In fact, for
Fall 2010 we’ve expanded our eco-minded technologies to 90% of
the product line, including the lower priced Classics range.
We’ve made improvements absolutely everywhere we can, from
implementing recycled zippers and insulation to automatically
offering a DWR (a water repellent fabric coating) that’s PFOA-free
(PFOA is a toxic byproduct of waterproofing materials). We even
package our products in fully bio-degradable, acetate ethylene bags.
However, we know producing anything creates some sort of waste
along the way. All we can do is keep striving to be “eco-friendlier”
and partnering with vendors and retailers who are doing the
same. Our consumers can still trust that when they buy Holden,
they’re getting real quality and supporting people who’re doing the
best they can to keep our environment a happy, healthy place.

C_CHANGE™ A high quality, “Eco-Friendlier” fabric utilizing Swiss technology
featuring exceptional water and windproofness. C_Change™ reacts
to changing environmental temperatures and to body temperatures
by expanding and contracting accordingly to either keep out cold,
or let excess heat and moisture out of the garment. This 3-layer
fabric is also the only eco-friendly option for 3-layer technology we
know of in the world. The C_Change™ membrane also meets the
Bluesign® standard, this guarantees the highest possible exclusion
of substances which are harmful to humans or the environment, as
well as the most ecological use of resources in manufacturing. Read

DENIMUpdated for this year, our stretch denim is made with 98% cotton for
an authentic denim look and 2% spandex for stretch and mobility.
Stretch Denim features a 3-layer solvent free lamination construction
with 20,000mm waterproofness and 10,000g/m2 breathability.
NanoSphere® DWR (A true Nanotech DWR technology)
The most repellent DWR in the world. Nature’s phenomenal “self-
cleaning principle” applied to texti les. Nature leads the way:
The leaves of certain plants and the wings of insects always stay
clean because dirt and water cannot adhere to their structured
surface. Nanotechnology is considered a key future technology.
As a result of the nano-particles, the surface of the textile is given
a fine structure which easily repels water and dirt. The patented
NanoSphere® finishing technology meets the high requirements
of the Bluesign® standard.
YARN DYED PLAIDThis heavy weight polyester fabric has a classic plaid construction

a silky handfeel. Features TORAY Dermizax™
non porous laminate of 20,000mm water-
proofness and 10,000g/m2 breathability.
EMBOSSED LEATHERA midweight nylon fabric with an extremely
tight weave. The face sheen with embossment
emulates the texture and feel of real leather
whilst maintaining a suitable fabric weight
and mobility. The Embossed leather has an
incredibly soft handfeel and features TORAY
Dermizax™ laminate of 20,000 mm water-
proofness and 10,000 g/m2 breathability.
MELANGE POPLINA cotton/poly blend with an extremely tight
weave and soft smooth handfeel. This
melange fabric features a subtle tonal color
variation thoughout for a heathered effect.
Featuring a performance of 10,000 mm wa-
terproofness and 10,000 g/m2 breathability.
TWILLThis mid-weight nylon twill weave fabric has
a soft handfeel and a classic appearance.
It features a 2-layer microporous coating
and 10,000mm waterproofness, 5,000g/m2
breathability. Our Twill fabric is finished
with a 80/5 PFOA free WR. The use of a
PFOA free WR drastically cuts down on the
harmful emissions that traditional WR
applications cause.
CAMOA stretch nylon with a classic Austrian
camo pigment print. This fabric has excellent
water repellency and a soft cotton like hand
feel. Featuring Toray’s Dermizax™ nonporous
laminate of 20,000mm waterproofness and
10,000 g/m2 breathability.
SLUBThis mid-weight polyester fabric has horizontal
slubs creating an organic surface texture.
This fabric is very durable and features
a microporous coat ing of 10,000mm
waterproofness and 5,000g/m2 breathability,
as well as PFOA free water repellancy. This
drastically cuts down on harmful emissions
into our environment that traditional DWR
applications cause.
SLUB STRIPEThis mid-weight polyester fabric has horizontal
slubs creating an organic surface texture
and is printed with our popular classic
stripe pattern. Featuring a microporous
performance coating of 10,000mm water-
proofness and 5,000g/m2 breathability.
It is finished with a 80/20 PFOA free DWR.
The use of a PFOA free DWR drastically
cuts down on the harmful emissions that
traditional DWR applications cause.
OXFORDThis heavy-weight nylon oxford weave has a nice
military look with a natural handfeel. It features
a solvent free lamination and has a 10,000mm
waterproofness and 5,000g breathability rating.
It is finished with an 80/20 PFOA free DWR
which drastically cuts down on the harmful
emssions typcially associated with the
DWR process.
HEMPOur Hemp fabric is comprised of 49% Organic
Cotton, 26% Hemp and 25% Recycled Polyester.
It has a soft organic handfeel and a chambray
linen look. Hemp by nature is extremely
durable and the use of recycled PET Polyester
from plastic bottles adds stability to the
fabric without creating much pollution.
Hemp features a solvent free lamination of
10,000mm waterproofness and 10,000 g/m2
breathability, as well as a PFOA free Nano-
