Why is it that we can have such a fear of

death? Of the sudden closure of life as we

know it and possibly the beginning of some-

thing of which we know little if anything?

The fear of death basically is the fear of the

unknown. There will come a time for each of

us whether ready, or not feeling ready, this

life of ours will come to a close. The opening of the kingdom of life in the full-

ness of God will take place and, according to the scriptures it is our deeds,

good or bad, that go with us to the other side.

So, what is it in my deeds that I want to bring with me to the other side and

what are the things that I do not want to bring to the other side? It is our

choice. If we are oriented toward growth in the commandments, seeking and

accepting God’s mercy and forgiveness then we ought to be full of hope that

He who has begun the good work in us will bring it to completion, for God has

called us to a holy life.

Do not be afraid to step out in faith, to be at peace even with the struggle of sin

within ourselves. As the song of Amy Grant in “Better than a Hallelujah,” says

we pour out our miseries and God just hears a melody has great merit to it.

God who is faithful will never abandon us and will respond to our desire for a

holy life.

Do not fear, little children for it has pleased the Father to give you the

kingdom. (Luke 12:32)

Be it known to all who enter here, that Christ is the reason for this school. He is the model for

Eathan C. Grant “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and

not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 20:11

God will always be by my side, along with my Guardian Angel, to help me succeed. The Lord will not have plans to

harm me in any sort of way, but plans to have me prosper. He, the Lord, provides me with the tools and strength needed

to handle situations involving peer-pressure, or bullying, or other situations I will be facing throughout life. This verse

doesn't only apply to me, but to everybody’s future, because we always hope that God is with us in every situation.

I am Eathan C. Grant, and I am a Disciple of Christ.

Please, Don’t Forget Me

As I graduate, I will be leaving Holy Family-St. Mary’s School. I will be missing a whole lot from this school

such as the amazing teachers: The teachers at HFSM are marvelous! They always, and I mean always, help everyone.

They also made the learning fun and easy. Speaking of learning, the education at this school is awesome!

Everything you learn isn’t too quick, nor too slow. And the subjects are super fun!

One of the best parts of this school is it’s faith. Mass once a week is good for your love with God, and of course, we

have Mass once a week!

I Would Love To Be Remembered.

I also would not want to be forgotten, but rather remembered. Remembered as the ‘Funny Kid’. I would like to be

remembered as this because I love to make people laugh and cheer them up in the easiest way I

can think of.

Stewardship Moment “For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ, so that each one may receive good or evil, ac-

cording to what he has done in the body.” - 2 CORINTHIANS 5:10

We are all accountable for the gifts God has

given us - our time, our talent and our treasure.

Each of us is accountable not only for our own

life but for the lives of others as well. One day

God will ask each of us what did we do with the

gifts we were given. How will you respond?

~Prayer Board~ Prayer is the best weapon in our day to day struggles and the

best way to celebrate the joys of life. To help with each

persons’ struggles and joys we have placed a Prayer Board in the Commons on the back table. Please feel free to put any prayer intentions on the board so we can come together as a

community to pray for them. Please keep in mind when putting names down that some people prefer their name not

to be in the open. In that case you could put their initials. We want to be as respectful as we can. Every Monday we will

erase the previous weeks intentions and start over.
