How do we use the land the we live on?

One example of a type of land use is commercial, which means that we build stores and other businesses that sell

things.

Residential land includes all of the places that people live (such as homes and apartment buildings)

It is the largest land use in most cities

Recreational land is used for areas such as parks, playgrounds, golf courses, and arenas.

This land is used to transport people and goods. It includes roads, bike paths, train tracks, airports and docks.

This is land that the government owns. The government decides what the land can be used for. Much of the forest around Red Lake is crown land.
