The Department of Educational Administration and Human Resource Development offers a master’s and doctorate degree in educational human resource development. In addition, the department offers the following options:

Master’s students must register for nine hours in a single semester. Doctoral students must register for nine hours in two consecutive semesters (i.e., fall/spring, spring/summer or summer/fall).

What can I do with a degree in human resource development?Students in this area work in settings as diverse as business and industry, the military, health professions and government agencies, and academia.

Where are graduates of this program typically employed?Graduates are employed as faculty members, training directors, corporate HR directors, administrators, HRD consultants, state agency directors and more.

When can I take classes?Weekday courses – typically meet once a week from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. or 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. (Summer courses typically meet three times a week) Weekend courses–All-day Saturday courses are of fered and typical ly meet five times a semester, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Online courses –available synchronously via TTVN (Trans Texas Videoconference Network) and asynchronously via the Web

Are alternative program formats offered?Yes, for larger groups of interested and qualified individuals who live significant distances from College Station, a cohort format can be arranged. Cohorts are a group of students that begin coursework at the same time, take the same courses and complete coursework concurrently.
