• C-130s medical aid flights continue into Baghdad area

• International aid continues– Jordanian field hospital– Australian medical supplies– Taiwanese rice– Philippine police and aid workers

• Pursuing opening additional berm crossing from Kuwait into Iraq

Southern Highlights• Qal’at Sukkar water supply

– Only 4-6 day supply of chlorine– Operating on generator w/10 days of fuel left– Pump runs twice a day 4 hours each time

• Ar Rifa power out – Due blown transformer and downed power lines– Plant supplies power to Ar Rifa and Qal’at

Sukkar

• Baghdad– 24 tons of medical HA available at BIAP– Looting is still a problem but continues to diminish with

increased patrols – A 2-3 week supply of food in the city of Baghdad

• Karbala– Karbala creating local leadership council – Karbala hospital is operational

• Nukayb– Distributed HDRs to villages in Southwest Iraq

• Over 5000 in Nukayb, Habbariyah, Alkasra Aljadidah

– Little commerce between Nukayb and Karbala since beginning of war

– Shortage of fuel in the area

• An Numaniyah power and water– No power because of downed lines

– Electric water pumps used to purify water

– Several reported cases of dysentery and diarrhea
