LITANY OF THANKSGIVING L: O Third Servant, what has been entrusted to your care?

P: I hold in my hands a great treasure.

L: Then go to the man who lives on the wrong side of the tracks and use your treasure to help him.

P: But the first servant was entrusted with a treasure five times the size of mine. Let her help him.

L: There is a woman who has no hope. Go and use your treasure to help her.

P: But the second servant was entrusted with a treasure two times the size of mine. Let him her.

L: There are children who will eat no dinner. Go and use your treasure to help them.

P: I am afraid; my treasure is so small. I must bury it and keep it safe.

L: But God made these people whom you doom to despair because of your fear.

P: O God, grant us the vision to see our treasure as a gift from you for redeeming the world. Give us the courage to dig it up, dust if off, and share it with your people, and we will daily return to you a greater treasure than we received!
