Oral production: brief (for example, providing information based on visual materials such as graphs, tables, maps, etc.) and more elaborate (guided tour) oral presentations; enhancing business techniques and the commercialisation of events. Objectives and skills The aim of this curricular unit is to develop and further the linguistic skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking within the specific context of tourism. By the end of the semester, students are expected to have developed and mastered fluency, effective and efficient communication skills, be capable of identifying and using idiomatic expressions, as well as more complex syntactic constructions, to produce coherent and cohesive texts and to express themselves on themes within the scope of tourism by using appropriate terminology.
