– Invitation-only events designed to help students think strategically about getting an academic job and advancing their research and teaching career

– Sessions on public speaking, interviewing, campus visits, and tenure

• Scholarship & a Free Society Symposia– Summer, colloquium-style conferences that combine faculty

lectures on cutting-edge research with participant research presentations and career development advice

– Sessions on CVs, networking, and publishing – Previous application deadline was 3/15/13

• Hayek Fund For Scholars– Provides grants of up to $750 for career-advancing activities

such as traveling to academic job interviews at professional conferences or on campus

– Application must be submitted four weeks in advance

• Humane Studies Fellowship– Awards of $2,000 to $15,000 to support

graduate study– Previous application deadline was 1/31/13

• Current Research Workshop– Online discussion of a working paper with

scholars in your field

• Liberty and the Art of Teaching Workshop– Weekend program focused on conveying best

practices, improving presentation skills, and discussing innovative teaching techniques
