Image Ideas

Image Choice I collected some images, and put them onto a PowerPoint, off of Google and social network sites so that I could see roughly what type of images I wanted to create, relying heavily on these images for the poses, costume and general style. I aim to re-create some of these images for my magazine as my model for my magazine is also female, so like a lot of these images I can take them and make mine similar. These photos of the artist Taylor Momsen are very inspirational to me as they reflect just what I want to create in my magazine. Also the one of the band Fall Out Boy performing live, is very similar to the photo I took at a concert and will be including in the magazine. The photos are successful because they are edgy and punky and will reflect my audience and magazine well.The photos are all of Taylor Momsen purely because I think she portrays the type of image, style and general genre of my magazine. The body language is similar to the positions and poses that I would like to see in my magazine, and I will use these images as place holders for when I plan my magazine as I wouldn’t have had my photos taken. I want to enhance the idea that a punk rock magazine can have a very female edge to it, as the hegemonic norm for a magazine like this would be that males would listen to this music. So it is important to me, to create a female style.
