INTRODUCTION

• KARA Public library is a new public library that established on December 2012 in Shah Alam. Our public library is related to education and further education.

• The role played KARA public library is have free access to information and freedom of speech.

• KARA Public Library start working hours from 8.00 am until 10.30 pm every Monday to Friday while on Saturdays is begin on 8.00 am until 5.00 pm. On Sunday and public holidays, KARA Public Library is closed for weekend holiday.

Rare materials and old books also placed in this storage

space before it is being recycle.

The storage space is also uses to keep materials that are sponsored or given by the

visitor or seller

Users of our library will notice the existence of the new materials

User will always aware about activities being held in the library

User will be more concerned and interested to wait for the arrival of the new materials

CLASSIFICATION Use Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system.

Use classification to organize the library materials according to specific subject and allocate the call number.

10 different items is located in separate space. Classified into 5 groups, consists of books, maps, non-printed items, academic research and special collection.

KARA Public Library use color to organize the collection of library materials.

In every material, we put the different hexagon sticker color.

ACCESSIBILITY

• All items that provide by our library will access using K. OPAC in library while Web K. OPAC from outside of library. Accepts 50 collectible classic coins displays as exhibition.

• K. OPAC the availability period follows on library schedule while Web K. OPAC can be access 24/7 hour every day.

• Follow our Facebook and Twitter to engage with us. • Users are allow to borrow books around five items and in two

weeks.• Penalty and fined will be given for those who lost the borrow

materials and/or failed to return in a good condition.

• Choose ‘keyword’ option and type needed materials = map.

After that, click ‘Submit ‘button.

CONCLUSION

• Eventhough KARA Public Library is still new age in managing library, we try our best to gaining knowledge to become the information literacy. It is very important because it educate us to become independent learner. By that, we as the librarian, can contribute something that has value such as providing the facilities and services to satisfy the public needs in term of social responsibility.
