EASTER SUNDAY— APRIL 20, 2014
Easter Greetings to all. Easter is a life changer for us all. Because Christ rose from the dead, we know that the grave is not a “dead end”, and that we have hope for the future. We see that there are many problems in our world, and much suffering, but even in the midst of all the negatives we can hope for a bright future. This is not just wishful thinking, but a sure promise we can lay hold of and claim for ourselves and those we love. In the resurrection, Jesus is a new creation, a new way of being, and we receive that newness through our own
baptism and in weekly participation in Christ’s sacrifice of his body and blood. Let us live our faith, and let us ask God to renew us day by day. Happy Easter! Priests, Deacons, Sisters and Staff of IHM Saludos y Felices Pascuas a todos.

Second Reading
Easter Sequence 1. Christians, to the Paschal Victim offer your thankful praise! A Lamb the sheep redeems; Christ, who only is sinless, reconciles sinners to the Father. Death and life have contended in that combat stupendous: The Prince of life, who died, reigns immortal.
2. Speak, O Mary, declaring what you saw, wayfaring. “The tomb of Christ, who is living, the glory of Jesus’, of Jesus’ resurrection; bright angels attesting, the shroud and napkin resting. Christ my hope is arisen; to Galilee he goes before you.”
3. Christ indeed from the death is risen, our new life obtaining. Have mercy, victor King, ever reigning! Amen, amen, amen!
