Roman Missal- Question and Answer

Source: “A Guide to the New Translation of The Mass”

by Edward Sri

Will these changes affect the music for the parts of the Mass? Yes, to some degree. Liturgical

music publishers have been developing new musical settings for the newly translated prayer responses such as the Gloria, the Lamb of God, and other

Mass parts. May dioceses and parishes will introduce people to

these new settings to prepare them for use when the new translation goes into effect. New chants also are being

incorporated into the publication of the

revised Missal.

Support Archdiocese’s ‘Keep Kids Safe’ Campaign April is national Child Abuse Prevention Month and “Keep Kids Safe” month in the Los Angeles Archdiocese. It is most appropriate that these events take place during the Easter Season, since there is no better time to

celebrate the protection of our most valuable gift from God — our children. During this week, children in Catholic schools and Religious Education programs in the Archdiocese will wear bright blue ribbon shaped

stickers that say, “Keep Kids Safe.” The stickers are part of a campaign to highlight the Archdiocese’s extensive abuse prevention and education programs for children and adults. Support our parish and school in this campaign by contacting the parish office for more information on parish child safety

activities, or call the Archdiocese Safeguard the Children Office, (213) 6377508. For particular help, you may call Assistance Ministry at (213) 637-7650

Our second collection donation for the

Pontifical Mission was of $2,724.36. The

kindness of our parishioners help greatly in the life of the Missions.

On behalf of the American Red Cross, we would like to thank to Health Cabinet and donors who attended the blood drive on April 3rd. We had 21 donors who came and collected 15 pints of blood. As you

know, each donor can save up to 3 lives. IHMC’s blood drive

saved 45 lives!!
