He, Gurudayal Saran was born in 1969. He completed his Post Graduate Diploma in computer

Application in 1997 from Agra University. Started his career in 1997 with Neelam Manjunmath as an

Office Administrator in her Architectural firm Manasaram Architects and also taken charge of the

sister concern construction firm as Proprietorship of Aditi Constructions.

His executed Bamboo house projects shipped to Rome, Italy in 2002 in a knock down conditions and

assembled and re-executed at Rome in 2003 due to Winter season. He has worked with and for

renowned organisation as SEEDS Delhi, Delhi Development Authority, University of Delhi, Bio-

diversity Foundation Delhi , ITC Bangalore, Karnataka Renewal Energy Development Limited,

Bangalore, Horticulture Department Bangalore , Tata-BP Solar Bangalore. My executed projects got

recognition, awards and aired at TV channels published in several newspaper, Architectural

magazines and tutorials etc. His executed projects include residences, offices, cafeteria at roof top,

bamboo gazebos, bamboo bridges, bamboo toilet and landscapes.

and workshops with IPIRTI and UVCE Bangalore. His executed projects got National Award Sir M

Vishwesvarayya Prize for “Application of Bamboo in Construction” Organized jointly by

HUDCO, New Delhi and Hari Om Ashram Trust, Nadiad, Gujarat for the State Level Energy Park

at Indira Gandhi Musical Fountain, Bangalore for innovative use of Bamboo in construction and

its significant contribution to the socio-economic, environmental, durability and safety aspects.

The award was given at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on 27th April 2005.

His executed projects building materials are basically bamboo and mud. The both materials are in

the form of treated bamboo and stabilised compressed mud block which is a sustainable green

building material and also eco-friendly. According to me, bamboo and mud are the two basic natural

materials which is available across the world and can be used in different ways and in different

forms and more especially by the low income group people as well as by the multi millionaire

person, companies, organizations etc. according to the needs of the people, time and money.

According to me, every person in this world either poor or millionaire uses bamboo after death and

mixed with mud – a real truth.
