Total food grain production of China touched 571 million tonne in 2012 as compared to India’s 250 million tonne in 2011-12.

Green Revolution has increased the production of agricultural crops. Among the food grains too, it is the wheat crop which grew maximum.

 India’s milk output has not only placed the industry first in the world, but also represents sustained growth in the availability of milk. The dairy sector is now the largest contributor in the agricultural sector to the nation’s GDP.
