Introduction: The term Wireless Charging?
Wireless Charging is a method of transmitting energy through the air to an electrical device for the purpose of charging it.
![Page 4: Inductive Charging](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022081412/5457de39b1af9fa7138b4632/html5/thumbnails/4.jpg)
Why we need to move wireless charging ?
• Electronic gadgets today play an important role in comforting our life.
• Works on perishable batteries
• Require frequent charging.
• Cables causes tangling of wire.
• Limited range restricts its performance and range.
![Page 5: Inductive Charging](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022081412/5457de39b1af9fa7138b4632/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
•
• Forgotten invention was reborn in 2007 by MIT Members.
History of wireless power
In 1891, Sir Nikola Tesla Proposed a method of Wireless Power Transmission.
As it is in Radioactive mode, most of the Power was wasted and has less efficiency.

Methods of Wireless charging
• Resonance Charging.
• Inductive Charging.
• Radio Charging.

INDUCTIVE CHARGING
• Works on Electromagnetic Induction.
• Transmitter: Electric energy → Electromagnetic energy.
• Receiver: Electromagnetic energy→ Electrical energy.
![Page 8: Inductive Charging](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022081412/5457de39b1af9fa7138b4632/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
• Charger output:Up to 850mA and up to 8.5 Volts.
• Maximum power: 20W+.
• Range: 1cm or less.
• Generally available in form of Charging pads.

• How efficient is Wireless Charging?
• Is Wireless Charging safe?
• What's the Future of wireless Charging?
MY INPUT TO THE TOPIC
![Page 12: Inductive Charging](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022081412/5457de39b1af9fa7138b4632/html5/thumbnails/12.jpg)
• The rate of energy transfer between the emitter and the receiver is greater than the rate of energy dissipation.
Efficiency

• magnetic fields tend to interact very weakly with the biological tissues of the body, and so are not prove to cause any damage to any living beings.
How Safe is Wireless?

Future of Wireless Charging:
![Page 15: Inductive Charging](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022081412/5457de39b1af9fa7138b4632/html5/thumbnails/15.jpg)
Advantages:Wireless
Can charge multiple devices.
Creation of a shock free environment .
A solution to reduce e-waste.
Wireless chargers are cost effective, adaptable, portable and stylish.

Disadvantages:
Possibility of harmful radiation.
Doesn’t have a very large range.
Higher Initial Cost.
Increase in distance decreases efficiency.
Slower charging.

Conclusion:
The Technology has improved but still have many drawbacks which need to be researched upon in order to commercialize.
Transmission without wires become a reality.
In future, world will be wireless.
