Bronco Tutoring and UWC: Monday–Thursday: 9am–7pm Friday: 9am–4pm
RAMP: Monday–Thursday: 9am–5pm Friday: 9am–12pm
Tutoring begins week 2 of each quarter and is available through finals
week. Visit the LRC’s website for hours during finals week, quarter
breaks, and summer quarter.

OUR MISSION
The Learning Resource Center’s mission is to promote student
success through tutoring, workshops, test preparation, and
study skills development.
FREE TUTORING SERVICES
30-minute Appointment Students are allowed two 30-minute appointments per week. Appointments can be made online through the LRC’s scheduling system or by calling (909) 869-3502. Walk-in Students may attend walk-in tutoring, subject to course availability. Students sign-in at the LRC’s front desk and are placed on the waiting list until a tutor is available. Students are seen in 15-20 minute increments. Online Students can self-enroll on Blackboard under the LRC Online Tutoring organization.
Learning Resource Center Services The Learning Resource Center (LRC) supports students, staff, and faculty through its
programs: Bronco Tutoring, the Reading, Advising, & Mentoring Program (RAMP), and the University Writing Center (UWC). Visit www.cpp.edu/lrc for more information.
LRC tutors are certified through the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA). Tutors work to facilitate independent learning and reinforce what
is learned in the classroom.
Faculty Support § LRC tutors can provide support in
faculty workshops and review sessions.
§ The LRC offers collaboration in creating workshops for course-specific topics.
§ The LRC offers online resources, such as “Avoiding Plagiarism: Quoting, Paraphrasing, and Responding” (PPT), for faculty to use in their classrooms.

Faculty Recommendations If you have a student applying for a tutor position § Access the Faculty
Recommendation Form on the LRC website under “Faculty & Staff Resources.”
§ Email or fax the completed form to the program’s coordinator.

STUDY SKILLS The LRC offers handouts and tutoring tips to improve study skills in areas such as:
§ Test-taking
§ Note-taking
§ Managing stress
TEST PREPARATION § MDPT practice tests in math
analysis and pre-calculus § Graduate school entrance exams
(CBEST, GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT)
§ GWT workshops, practice essay
prompts, and consultations § CPU 401, a writing proficiency
course for eligible students, which fulfills the GWAR
TUTORING The LRC offers free tutorial assistance in university-wide subjects. § Tutoring is provided on an
appointment or walk-in basis, and tutoring is available online for Bronco Tutoring and UWC.
§ RAMP offers tutoring services by appointment only.
WORKSHOPS § Bronco Tutoring offers some
subject-specific workshops for classes such as finance, math, and chemistry.
§ RAMP offers financial aid, financial
literacy, and peer mentoring workshops to program participants; reading strategies workshops are also available by request.
§ UWC offers GWT preparation,
grammar, and plagiarism workshops.
