Founded 1980

Greetings fellow Mustang enthusiasts!!

As the ninth month of the year, September marks the beginning of autumn in the northern hemisphere (and the start of spring in the southern). Tradi-tionally considered the month that marks transitions between seasons, it is often one of the most temperate weather-wise.

September is also the month GCCM normally hosts their annual car show… the All Ford Powered Round-Up. Unfortunately, after 40 annual shows, we are sadly cancelling this year’s show. We are looking forward to resuming the annual event on September 18, 2021. Look for details next spring!

One of the benefits of our annual Round-Up is the opportunity we have of giving a percentage of the proceeds to our charity of choice… Tulsa’s very own The Little Light House (LLH). You can learn about this wonderful charity for special needs kids and their families at https://www.littlelighthouse.org/about-us/. If you would like to hear about them in a personal setting… please join us at the September general meeting where we’ll have special guest Megan Areledge.

Megan is the Events Assistant for LLH and will be sharing her experiences and the story of LLH. You don’t want to miss this meeting.

Before you know it, GCCM elections will be upon us. If you desire to run for or nominate someone for any of the offices or board member positions, nominations will be accepted as of October's general meeting with elec-tions at the December general meeting. Job descriptions are available to those interested… or speak with any of the board members to hear first hand what the position entails regarding commitment, expectations and the fun fun fun involved!!

Be sure to read the entire newsletter… the calendar of events on the next page, read the minutes to catch a glimpse of what is being discussed and covered at the board meeting… a meeting all are invited to attend. Check out the news, ads and opportunities published and most importantly… check out our sponsors. Thank them by partaking of their product offer-ings and services. Or should the opportunity presents itself as it does at the general meeting… give them a personal thanks!!

GCCM cannot exist without them.

As everyone knows, our annual GCCM All Ford Powered Round-Up Car Show has fallen prey to COVID-19 this

year and has been cancelled and scheduled to resume September 18, 2021.

While club members, fellow Ford enthusiasts and the public have been deprived of one of our annual pleas-

ures, it is the children of The Li@le Light House who will suffer the most. GCCM has supported and raised do-

na)ons for The Li@le Light House for over 15 years. It is amazing how our meager contribu)ons from the

GCCM shows can mean so much to these children, and how much it is really needed now, more than ever.

The GCCM board has decided to ask all of its members and friends to contribute $20 from their car show

funds to The Li@le Light House fund, in lieu of the normal $25 (pre-registra)on) and $30 registra)on fee.

GCCM had one of the families from The Li@le Light House come and speak at one of our general mee)ngs in

the last year. Giovanni’s father, Shawn Sejera, painted a very moving and hearFelt picture of their experienc-

es with The Li@le Light House both before and a,er Giovanni’s birth. This place is so amazing and the love

and caring they have for these sweet children is contagious. The first picture below is of the Sejera Family and

the second is of Giovanni’s class at The Li@le Light House.

Please consider helping Green Country Classic Mustangs collect contribu)ons that will ALL go directly to The

Li@le Light House.

Dona)ons can be received at the September and October GCCM general mee)ngs or you can Donate on the

club website gccmustangs.com! A thank you and fist bump will be awarded for every dona)on… we are all

winners. Thank you!
