IVIS MULTI-MODALITY

Multi-Modality Module Software for Living ImageWith 3D Multi Modality:• Load DICOM, TIFF, VOX, RAW volumetric data formats

• Classify volumetric data using the histogram-based Color/Opacity Map

• Remove air and noise from volume and slice rendering with Auto Fit

• Use Maximum Intensity Projection on classified volumetric data

• Highlight intensity transitions with Gradient Illumination

• Automatically Register IVIS and Quantum FX µCT DICOM data

• Mask out unwanted volume regions with volume Crop Tool

• Use Manual Volume Registration Tools to manually position, scale, and orient volumetric data

• Save and Restore volumetric registration, color-opacity map, crop planes, and volume slice rendering information as 3D Multi Modality results

Above: Direct DICOM import into Living Image using 3D Multi Modality tools to visualize and co-register the 3D volumetric surface (Quantum FX µCT) with the structured light surface (IVIS Spectrum).

Left: Co-registered µCT scan from Quantum FX showing a fluorescent probe accumulating in the liver (IVIS Spectrum).

IVIS MULTI-MODALITY

Mouse Imaging Shuttle (MIS)With the MIS you can transfer animals from one imaging platform to another without disrupting the animal’s position. Subjects can be transferred from the IVIS Spectrum or IVIS 200 to a second instrument such as Quantum FX µCT to co-register the 3D images from both systems. The shuttle slides easily into place to integrate isofluorane administration.

The MIS kit accommodates mice of different sizes and also permits compression to enhance the optical signals in deep tissue. You can use multiple shuttles to optimize your workflow for assembly-line throughput. Adaptors for third party imaging systems are also available.

The MIS can be used as a compression device to enhance the optical signal in deep tissues on the IVIS Spectrum, IVIS 200, IVIS Lumina II, IVIS Kinetic and IVIS Lumina XR. The MIS supports multi-wavelength transmission and permits quantitation and reconstruction even at low signal levels.

Left: The MIS snaps into the IVIS Spectrum maintaining isofluorane administration while the subject is immobilized. Center: Mouse Imaging Shuttle (MIS) with integrated nose cone for anesthesia. Right: transport to the Quantum FX is seamless.

Cells expressing mCherry within the lung can easily be reconstructed and quantified by enhancing the optical signal at all the wavelengths needed.
