Copyright
• Is a legal term that describes rights. • Covered by copyright could be make in Works, novels,
poems, plays, newspapers, computer programs, films, music compositions, paints, photography, architecture, etc.
• Not covered like copyright would be ideas, facts, names, tittles, phrases, etc.
Ethics
• Is the branch of philosophy that defend and recommend concepts of right and wrong.
WIPO
• Established in 1967 WIPO or the World Intellectual Property Organization is an agency of the UN dedicated to develop a balanced and accesible international intelectual property which rewards some aspects safeguarding public interest.
• It is headquartered in Geneva, Swiss and its director is Francis Gurry.
• It has several goals to achieve. One of them is adressing IP in relation to glabal policy issues.
World Intellectual Property Day
• 26 of April• On this year WIPO´s focus is promoting Green innovation
as a key to a secure future.
Fair Use
• Gives the users the privilege to use copyright material under certain conditions.
• Promotes public benefits and applies to all media. • Has 4 main factors: Purpose, Nature, Amount, Effect• Never use the “Fair Use Excuse” this applies to laziness or
to excuses like saving money.
