Inter Marine applies tightly controlled project management disciplines to its ship repairs, large or small. We apply modifications, upgrades, maintenance, damage repairs, conversions, refurbishments and mobilisation projects to a variety of vessels. All staff in our fabrication team are fully qualified, and all welders are Lloyd’s Register coded. With safety and quality as our starting point, our multi-disciplinary teams complete projects for numerous global customers.

Conversion & Mobilisation

MobilisationMobilisation projects involve out-fitting and re-engineering aspects of a vessel to change its primary purpose, often for only a temporary period. We have completed a number of key projects involving the preparation of vessels. For example: Offshore pipe-laying work; installing all required deck-based equipment and infrastructure prior to the project, and then demobilising afterwards to restore the ship to its original form.

These challenging projects often require quick turnarounds with pragmatic and responsive solutions, all the while maintaining Health and Safety to the very highest standard. Inter Marine has the experience and expertise to fit this bill.

ConversionsInter Marine is the first choice for projects which involve significant permanent upgrades and improvements to existing vessels. We can undertake re-fits, restorations, extensions and internal upgrades, covering every aspect of the project as required. A ship can have its primary purpose permanently changed – from freight transport to seismic exploration, from trawlers to offshore support – thanks to Inter Marine’s meticulous work scheduling and quality engineering.

For any scale of project, we have the technology and expertise; to safely split a ship in half and attach an extended central section, or to simply undertake propulsion upgrades or external cleaning/re-painting.
