About StorytellingStorytelling has always been central to human experience – it’s how we explain and make sense of the world. Buttoday, as media-savvy audiences begin to tune outadvertising messages while searching for ever-more-immersive entertainment experiences, the way businesses and professionals need to communicate is changing. Ledby some of the best thinkers, innovators and educators inthe field of storytelling. The Future of Storytelling-Global& Multidisciplinary Emergence envisages the futuristicchallenges as to how the power of storytelling could beused to achieve maximum impact in a digital world.

Research in neuroscience and cognitive psychology has shown that stories are typically more effective at changing people’s minds than rational argument. This means that people — leaders in particular — need to view the world in narrative terms, not as a thesis to be argued or a pitch to be made but as a story to be told because stories provide a structure for reality and a key to understanding. They play on the emotions and rely upon empathy.

About ICFST 2019

International Conference on ‘The Future of Storytelling-Global & Multidisciplinary Emergence’ (ICFST 2019) builds on the global insights as to show how a story is used by media & entertainment industry professionals.

Over the course of two days, you will engage in a mix of deep learning through plenary sessions, panel discussions & paper presentations. This will leave you with a thorough understanding of the digital media ecosystem as well as the expertise you’ll need to communicate strategically within it.

The emerging field of experiential art, comprised of physical experiences such as live performance and immersive theatre, and experiences through a digital interface is ushering in an entirely new realm of storytelling. In some ways, the impact of technology dominating our lives has created a renewed focus on creating experiences that enable people to feel connected to the real-world, with human, tactile connections becoming most valued.

At the same time, these past few years has also shown us the potential of crossovers between disciplines—that technology can mindfully be built into live performances and elevate those experiences to a whole new level. This conversation will explore what it means to create a story world, design for presence, and craft compelling narrative experiences that capture the audience’s imagination with a new perception of reality.

Guidelinesfor full paperAll full paper submissions must have a title page, sub-theme of the paper, the name(s) of the author(s), affiliation(s), and e-mail address.

The title of the paper must be written in bold capital letters using 14pt. Times New Roman font. All sub-headings should also be in capital letters using plain 12pt. Times New Roman font. All authors will receive an acknowledgement of the full papers submission, and registration payment by e-mail, after the receipt of the same.

Submissions for the Journal may be in the form of:

Articles (5000-7000 words): Articles must comprehensively analyse acontemporary issue that the author seeks to highlight. Articles would include research articles and theoretical discussions. The author is expected to holistically cover the subject matter while offering a critical analysis of the chosen theme.

Essays (3000-5000 words): Essays must be concise and succinct, in theirscope and conceptualization. They must offer an innovative perspective or challenge the prevailing discourse on an issue.

All the word limits mentioned above are inclusive of footnotes.

Submission GuidelinesOriginality: All submissions must be the original and unpublished worksof the author. Plagiarism in any form shall result in instant rejection of the submission. The decision of the Board of Editors in this matter is final and binding. The editorial board of ADYPU shall not be responsible for any material that is libelous or scandalous and the author shall be deemed to have obtained the permission of the referred author in case the work is unpublished.

Abstract: Each submission must be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 250- 300 words. There will not be any prior selection of manuscripts on the basis of the abstract. It is merely meant to assist the Editorial Board in the review process.

Format: The body of the manuscript should be in Times New Roman, size 12 in 1.5 spacing. The footnotes should be in Times New Roman, size 10 in single spacing.

Citation Format: The citation format to be followed throughout the submission is ‘The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (20th Ed.)’. Speaking footnotes are discouraged; where used, they will be included within the word limit.

Co-authorship: Co-authorship up to two authors (from the same or different institutions) is permitted.

Authorship: The author of research papers have to register for the ICFST-2019 online.

Research Papers Publication: The selected research papers by ADYPU Editorial Board will be published in the reputed ISSN peer reviewed

UGC listed journal.
