Dear FPC Family, Thank you for your willingness to be the host church for our Latin Boot Camp. We had 30 participants from as far as central Arkansas, Mississippi, and Dallas. Many comments were made complimenting the beauty of our facilities, and the feelings of ease and comfort while on our campus. It was a great event that served to limit any intimidation in teaching our students Latin. With Love and gratitude, Joanna Smith

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Dear FPC, Thank you so much for the opportunities that allow me to come to Camp Ozark! I met a lot of great people and have had a blast! On Sunday it stormed so we stayed in our cabins, but we usually hike up a mountain to a cross, and have a worship service. They decided that we would do the hike up after dinner. It was so much fun! They talked about how Jesus is not only our Savior, and how he is much more. I have had so much fun at camp, but can’t wait to see you all soon! Thanks again! Love, Olivia Smith

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Dear FPC, Thank you for your contribution to South Arkansas Youth Services, Inc for the Back to School Bash. Many children will benefit from your donation and will have a better start to their school year with the school supplies they need. Your donation is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Whitney Peterson Dir. Of Acct./Finance

Old Business:

After a month to consider the report from FPC-M’s legal counsel and the Discernment Committee, the

Session considered whether or not to pursue the motion for summary judgment to secure title to the church’s

property in the name of this local congregation which would also nullify Presbytery/PCUSA claim to own the

property with the congregation holding it in trust for the larger church. Ryan Phillips presented a draft document

with the church’s options explained. Todd Smith made the motion to file for Summary Judgement, Ryan Phillips

seconded the motion, and the motion carried unanimously.

Lauren Murphy disclosed she will soon be relocating to Minden, LA.

New Business: None

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned with prayer by Rev. Morgan at 7:45 pm.

Respectfully submitted:

Todd D. Smith, Acting Clerk of Session Rev. Mike Morgan, Moderator

Olivia Smith enjoyed a great week at Camp Ozark in July!

Jeff Miller, Bailey D., & Jessica B., of the SAU Ag Department, delivered sweet corn they raised to share with FPC.
