DESCRIPTION

A review of the Exchange e-commerce plugin for WordPress by iThemes, presented at the East Bay WordPress Meetup in March 2014. Pros: ease of use. Cons: no product variants. (That has since been fixed.) Recommendations: keep an eye on it, it may give WooCommerce some competitions. Probably a good product for beginners and those with simple stores.

Conclusions

• Easy to set up

• Multiple applications

• Deal-breaker drawback: no product variations (but they are in the pipeline)

• Aimed at end users, not at developers

• Cost of add-ons comparable to Woo

• Keep an eye on it
