Transformational weaknesses

In addition to its strengths, there are weaknesses as well.1. Transformational leadership lacks conceptual clarity.2. Another criticism revolves around how ransformational leadership is measured.3.Transformational leadership treats leadership as a personality trait or personal predisposition rather than a behavior that people can learn.4. Researchers have not established that transformational leaders are actually able to transform individuals and organizations (Antonakis, 2012).5. transformational leadership may also come off as elitist and anti-democratic.6. Finally, transformational leadership has the potential to be abused.
