No prior Pilates experience necessary. The course is designed to prepare participants to attend Group Pilates Reformer Beginner classes. Our members keep telling us how enjoyable this feels – no harsh chemicals, better for hair, eyes and skin, swimming under crisp blue winter skies. The pool is open for lap swimmers during the hours listed below, if the air temperature is at or above 35 degrees. Check out website or follow us on Twitter to get current pool status. Intro to KettlebellsThis class will teach you proper form and technique for using kettlebells.A kettlebell is a cast iron weight with a handle that became popular inRussia many centuries ago. Kettlebells provide numerous benefitsthrough building stamina, lean muscle mass, and developing corestrength. The Kettlebell’s center of mass is shifted from the handle caus-ing the weight to constantly pull against your body. This adds instabilityto your workout forcing your body to utilize different muscle fibers thanit’s used to using. Kettlebells also continuously engages your core andupper body by countering the momentum of the kettlebell.

April’s specialty areas include: Interval training, use of kettlebells andother fitness equipment, circuit weight training and buddy training.
