DESCRIPTION

The Princess. Earlier in the book, she was tricked into wearing invisible silk that only people with a ‘special eye’ could see. Sound familiar? The Emperor’s New Clothes. She paraded down the street and a little girl was like, Mommy, why is the princess not wearing any clothes? Outsmarted some giants. Ended up walking out of the giant castle with blood and you-don’t- want-to-know-what-else.

•His father was the prince, and then he ran away from his bratty little sister and family to learn to be a village man, because he wanted to be tough. He got married, and had a son, Jack. His wife died soon after.• Jack was bullied by the village boys.• Yes, if you are wondering, Jack DID sell his cow to the

guy with the magic beans. But the cow was named Milky and the guy sold Potions, elixirs, snake oil and gin. And he had a ponytail.

*Met a Princess (not Jill, thank gosh) fetched her ball that she dropped into the well, went into the castle a frog, and came out a prince!! Not. He went into the castle and was thrown against a wall and turned into a prince. Wrong again. Went into the castle with four legs, came out with three. True!!!!

*Jack and Jill swore on their lives (courtesy of one of those cannibalistic wizards I told you about) that they would find the Seeing Glass. Problem is, they don’t know where it is. So, they have to face Giants, getting your head cracked open, a mermaid, goblins, a huge salamander, stomach acid (long story) and those blasted cannibalistic wizards again. (What is wrong with those wizards?)

*Do you really me to tell you, or do you want me to keep it a secret?

*Not being dumb. Just saying, they could’ve avoided it, and listened to Frog…… I know that’s not the best answer, so just trying to be brave and staying away from cannibalistic wizards. I know that’s not good either, but those are some of the best ones I have. There really isn’t a good solution to the problem.

*Every single time the author butts in. He’s really funny. “Don’t be silly. The moon eats children, and the stars are friendly, but rain can’t talk. Good girl, Gretel.” Quote from A Tale Dark and Grimm. I just think the author is funny.

*The Mermaid was talking about her sisters dying and I thought: Your story’s so touching……. It sounds just like a lie! That’s right. I knew she was a siren. Not all mermaids are good, even if they tell you a touching tail. See what I did there? Tail instead of tale. I am going to stop my bothersome rambling.
