Shoot•N•C® White/BlackEnjoy the same Shoot•N•C experience in white and black. The contrast of white over black makes an excellent indoor target. The black halo can easily be seen at many distances. When used indoors or outdoors, the white over black colors make your crosshairs or open sights more evident. The added posts on the 8" and 12" targets make great crosshair reference points. And don’t forget, each target comes with value-added repair pasters to extend the life of your target by repairing bullet holes or as additional aiming points.

Morning sickness

nausea, with or without vomiting, is known as morning sickness but frequently can occur throughout any time of

the day. About 50% of all pregnant women suffer from morning sickness. This can range from an occasional bout of

nausea to vomiting so severe that hospitalization is required.

The cause of morning sickness is not well understood, though ideas include changes in hormones and slowing of the

digestive tract. several recommendations have been made to help expectant mothers with morning sickness:

• Avoid hard-to-digest foods such as fatty foods (particularly fatty meats), fried foods, and rich pastries.

• Avoid spicy foods, strong flavors, and foods with strong aromas.

• Avoid caffeine.

• Avoid cigarettes and cigarette smoke.

• get fresh air.

• Try walking every day.

• eat foods that are high in carbohydrates such as crackers, toast, and baked potatoes.

• eat small, frequent meals. Don’t let your stomach get too full or too empty. if it’s been more than 2 hours since you

have eaten, you should eat even if you feel queasy.

• Drink only between meals. Wait 30 minutes after eating to drink something.

• Have a high-protein snack at bedtime. For example, a hard-boiled egg, peanut butter, half a turkey sandwich, or

cheese with a slice of bread.

• eat before getting out of bed in the

morning. keep a high carbohydrate

snack on the bedside table. You should

nibble in bed and wait to get up until

your feeling of nausea subsides.

• Try sipping teas such as peppermint,

spearmint, ginger, fennel, anise, or

raspberry leaf.

• Try ginger root capsules - up to

250 mg, four times a day has been

helpful, for some women.

• Try 50 mg of vitamin B6 and 50 mg

of Unisom tablet twice a day in the

morning and at night.

IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO

KEEP ANYTHING DOWN FOR

24 HOURS, NOTIFY YOUR

ExpEctant MothErs: Don’t forget your calcium

a baby relies on its mother’s blood supply for vital nutrients necessary for growth. health experts

advise expectant mothers to get adequate amounts of vitamins and minerals to stay healthy and

possibly prevent pregnancy-related complications.

• calcium intake is very important for a baby’s growth

and development and to maintain mom’s normal calcium

balance during pregnancy.• a developing fetus uses as much as 250 to 300 mg of

calcium daily from the mother’s blood supply.

• calcium helps keep bones strong and allows for normal

blood clotting and muscle contraction.

• all women ages 19-50 need 1,000 mg of calcium per

day. UsDa statistics show that nine out of ten women fall

short of this recommended value.

• Most women get only half of the recommended daily

amount of calcium.

• a woman who does not consume enough calcium

during pregnancy is at greater risk of developing

osteoporosis later in life.• Getting enough calcium helps mom supply a readily

available source of calcium in breast milk during lactation.

• proper calcium intake during pregnancy can help

maintain normal blood pressure.• pregnancy-induced high blood pressure (hypertension)

occurs in 10 to 20% of all pregnancies.

• Increasing calcium intake to 1,200 to 1,500 mg per day

could help reduce the risk of pre-eclampsia (a potentially

life-threatening condition most likely to occur during the

late stages of pregnancy).Food First for Calcium

Increasing calcium intake is best accomplished by

eating foods rich in this nutrient. For example, a one-

ounce serving of cheddar cheese provides 20% of your

recommended daily calcium. In addition, a serving of

cheddar cheese supplies the following percentages of

your daily recommended intake:• 15% phosphorus - helps strengthen bones and

teeth, develops blood clotting and normal heart rhythm.

• 14% protein - builds and repairs muscles.

• 6% riboflavin (B2) - promotes growth, good vision,

and healthy skin; essential for baby’s bone, muscle and

nerve development.• 6% vitamin A - helps maintain normal vision. also

promotes skin, bone, and cell growth, infection resistance,

fat metabolism, and red blood cell production.

• 6% zinc - helps form organs, skeleton, nerves, and

circulatory system.See reverse side for cheesy calcium ideas.
