The cadets were extensively trained and taught the
NCC curriculum to prepare themselves for B & C
certificate examinations. The cadets were trained in drill and weapon handling. Support was provided by the
NCC unit to the cadets to undergo training camps for
the selection to RD contingement
H G Nanjundaswamy, Senior under officer of NCC Company of our college represented
Karnataka- Goa Directorate in Republic Day
Parade January 2018. He was a contingent
member of the Prime Minister rally.
Four NCC cadets participated in National Integration Camp held at Nagarcoil, Tamilnadu
and Jammu.
Six NCC cadets of our college participated in
Talsainik camp held at Hassan. Two cadets were selected to represent Mysore group.
Students underwent rigorous training in yoga and team

Surekha S Patil presented a paper on “Green
Banking practices: A study on Environmental
strategies of Banks” in two days National level conference on “Trends and prospects in
Banking and Financial markets” held at JSS
Centre for Management Studies on 15/12/2017 and 16/12/2017. The paper has been published
in the conference proceedings assigned with

Surekha S Patil presented a paper on “Green
Banking practices in India” inone day National level conference on “Infrastructure and
sustainable Development” held at

One day orientation programme on “Career
Planning and Placement Preparation” was
conducted on 19/08/2017 for final year
students. Mr. Mashood Ahmed Raza,
Facilitator & Training Specialist, Sambhav
Group, Bangalore delivered a comprehensive
talk about the present corporate world, ways to
acquire essential skills and placement
preparation.
One day workshop on “Higher studies and job
opportunities for Commerce students” was
conducted on 6/01/2018. Sri PradhanShetty and
Sri. Vinod Chandra, Chartered Accountants
explained about the higher education and
various opportunities available for commerce
students.
A workshop on “Personality Development and
Job Opportunities” was organized by the
placement cell of our college in collaboration
with Vijaya Karnataka and Gillette India on
20/02/2018. The workshop mainly focused on
grooming the students to face interviews. Mr.
Abhinandadan, Placement Officer, Vijaya
Karnataka explained about the various carrier
opportunities and skill based courses available
after the completion of undergraduate course.
The skill awareness programme was conducted
in the college for final year students by the
Skill India, NSDC (Govt. of India) in
association with RiiT, Mysore on 06/02/2018.
The main objective of the programme was to
create awareness among youth regarding
importance of skills to make them employable
and the availability of various skill
development schemes to hone up their skills.
A special lecture was delivered by Sri.
Kumarswamy, Officer, LIC Nanjangud on “Job
information” on 22/08/2017.

2.12 How does IQAC Contribute/Monitor/Evaluate the Teaching & Learning processes:
The teaching plans are prepared at the department level in the beginning of each semester.
Necessary measures are taken to ensure that teaching programme sticks to the schedule.
Periodic verification of students’ attendance and teaching plan of teachers by the head of the
department and Principal has ensured smooth functioning of the teaching learning
mechanism.
Obtaining regular feedback from the students enable IQAC in continuous monitoring of
teacher, teaching methodology and classroom environment.
Senior faculty in the department share some papers/ subjects with newly recruited teachers. This provides an opportunity for the senior faculty to monitor the latter and guide them
suitably.

Every teacher in the department serves as a mentor for a group of 20-30 students

adopted to improve the performance of the students

Mentor helps the students to adapt to the new environment in order to make
themself-sufficient and independent. For this, orientation programme is conducted

Mentor conducts series of interaction with the students and provides assistance in
changing their attitude and behavior.
Exclusivedevelopment schemes focusing on English and computer skill enhancement
and personality development are offered to students.
A workshop on “Personality Development and Job Opportunities” was organized by
our college in collaboration with Vijaya Karnataka and Gillette India on 20/02/2018.
Faculty members provide guidance to the students in choosing their career and
prepare them for the same.
Career guidance and placement cell provides placement services to students. They
gather information about the campus recruitment being held in the sister institutes
of JSS and other colleges in and around Mysore and tie up with them. Accordingly
they make an arrangement to send eligible students for the interview.
Career guidance and placement cell organized personality and skill development
programmes to final year students to make them ready for campus selection.
One day orientation programme on “Career Planning and Placement Preparation” was
conducted on 19/08/2017for final year students. Mr. Mashood Ahmed Raza, Facilitator &
Training Specialist, Sambhav Group, Bangalore delivered a comprehensive talk about the present
corporate world, ways to acquire essential skills and placement preparation.
One day workshop on “Higher studies and job opportunities for Commerce students” was
conducted on 6/01/2018. Sri PradhanShettyand Sri. Vinod Chandra, Chartered Accountants
explained about the higher education and various opportunities available for commerce
students.
A workshop on “Personality Development and Job Opportunities” was organized by the
placement cell of our college in collaboration with Vijaya Karnataka and Gillette India on
20/02/2018. The workshop mainly focused on grooming the students to face interviews. Mr.
Abhinandan, Placement Officer, Vijaya Karnataka explained about the various carrier
opportunities and skill based courses available after the completion of undergraduate course.

The skill awareness programme was conducted in the college for final year students by the Skill
India, NSDC (Govt. of India) in association with RiiiT, Mysore. The main objective of the
programme was to create awareness among youth regarding importance of skills to make them
employable and the availability of various skill development schemes to hone up their skills.
A special lecture was delivered by Sri. Kumarswamy, Officer, LIC Nanjangud on “Job information”
on 22/08/2017.
