"PASS IT ON” PROJECT: Did you sign up last year to work with the "PASS IT ON"
project? Remember? You were to do a picture of a basket and a
pot that was passed around. You used those items in your piece,
which can also include any other items you choose. We will be
showing that group of paintings, photos, etc. along with the Artist of the Month during September. So, you have a few
months to finish your piece and bring it in for the Sept. hanging. If you wish to join in this project, please call Le Voss to get
the pot and basket.

GOLF FUNDRAISER & AUCTION:
The Art Guild’s 2017 Golf Tournament Fundraiser is fast
approaching. We need your help in making our 15th year the best
year yet! Come and join us at the Brae for a 7:30 a.m. shotgun
start on Friday July 21, 2017 - you’ll be glad you did! The 2017 AG Golf Fundraiser Committee is hard at work
contacting our friends and sponsors. Please make sure your team
is entered as soon as possible, since there is a maximum we can
take. Many people have called me to say that they are going to
enter, however until your paid entry is received, it is not counted. Don’t be left out of the FUN! Entry Forms can be picked up at the Art Guild, the Fairfield
Glade Golf website: www.fairfieldglade.cc or at the Art Guild
website: www.artguildfairfieldglade.net . Please make sure to
include your e-mail address on the form -- which is needed for us to confirm that we have received your entry. Any questions;
contact Dawn Robb by phone 931-456-5601 or by e-mail at
[email protected] . This year, the tournament has two divisions, Men’s and Women’s, so each team will include four men or four women.
The cost is $80 per person, which includes golf, cart, and
luncheon. Prizes will be awarded to the Low Gross and Low Net
winners. After golf, we will meet at Legends Restaurant at Druid Hills for
a wonderful luncheon with cash bar. For those not playing golf,
the cost of the luncheon is $16. Along with the luncheon, a
Unique Silent Auction is open to the public and contains many
sought-after items that have been donated by our generous
sponsors. The Silent Auction begins at 12:00 noon and closes at
2:00 PM. Our golf tournaments’ sponsors have been more than generous
over the past few years, and members of the Golf committee are
asking for their support again in 2017. Please remember that the
real winners are the children and seniors of Cumberland County!
All contributions are gratefully appreciated, including both $100
Tee Sign Sponsors and donated gifts for our Unique Auction
table. We also offer “Memorial Tee Signs” as a way for you to
honor your loved ones.

BOARD & COMMITTEE NOTES
LETTER FROM YOUR PRESIDENT: Dear Members, We are beginning our busy time of the year relative to fund-
raising and fun activities. In June we have Art in the Park; in July we have the Golf Event and Silent Auction.
I hope you all have signed up to help with one
of these activities. There's certainly plenty to be
done. Thank you so much for all you do.
Keep Creating, Linda Carr, President
PCAC COORDINATORS: BIG THANKS!! A big thank you to all those who helped with the landscaping, as
well as preparation for the upcoming “Art in the Park”.
OUTREACH COORDINATORS: CHILDREN’S OUTREACH: Ethan Callaghan is our scholarship winner and will be at our
June meeting. We are having a "going away to college" basket for her. If you would like to help, some suggestions are:
Walmart gift card, Subway gift card, towels, laundry detergent,
anything for a student going off to college. Ethan will also be our model for Life Drawing June 28. You can meet Ethan and the other graduating art students on
Friday June 2, at the Fun Friday Reception. Artwork of the
students has been on display at the Palace Theater during May
and viewers have voted for their choice of the best artwork.
Now the display is moving to the PCAC for June and awards
will be presented during the June 2nd Fun Friday reception. Looking for a fun art activity for the kids or grandkids this
summer? The Art Guild will offer Children's Summer Art
Classes, Wednesdays starting June 7 through Aug. 2 @ 1:00 –
2:30 PM. Thanks to a grant from Volunteer Energy Cooperative
(VEC), classes are free. Children from ages 7 and up are
welcome to attend. It’s important to sign up ahead of time
because of class size limitations. Sign-up begins on May 29.
