Room 1 Ms. Natalie, Ms. Lucie, Ms. Ilyeana, Ms. Abby & Ms. Gabby

In the month of May we learned the color pink our shape of the month was a triangle. We learned the sign language for “Bib”. This month we learned about ourselves and what we can do. We got to create beautiful art for our mommies, and we got to show our teachers how much we appreciate them. We also enjoyed the beautiful weather with outside strolls. We’re excited for summer and to have some fun in the sun!

In May we played with lots of paint using our hands and feet. Our theme was “Me”. We learned what a triangle looks like and practiced how to say it by looking for them around the room. We played in pink paint because this was our color of the month. We had fun spotting out pink items in the classroom. We also learned about the features on our face by singing songs, making magazine collages and using I spy bottles. Summer we’re ready for you!

In May we learned how to paint pink triangles. We made flowers, butterflies and our Mothers Day crafts. This month was lots of fun learning new things everyday; and doing arts and crafts is always our favorite part of the day. While combined in room 5 we got to learn about some awesome looking insects. We look forward to Summer and water days!

Room 5

Ms. Bridget & Ms. Amanda We had fun in May learning about flowers and ocean life. We learned about sunflowers and how they grow; we also learned the parts of a flower. We went on a nature walk to find and smell flowers. We enjoyed learning about the ocean and ocean animals. “Mr. Seahorse” was our favorite book this month. We reviewed the letters of the alphabet A-Z. We are excited for next month and splash days.

In the month of May we had fun learning about the lifecycles of plants and ocean animals. We got to learn and see how the life cycle of a plant works. We even had fun planting our own seeds in soil so we can watch and learn how a plant grows. We were interested in learning about different types of ocean animals and their habitats. We were able to do various art activities such as making an Angular fish, Walrus, Pufferfish and a Jellyfish all while using the first letter in the name of the ocean animal.

Happy Birthday:

We learned about ocean animals and the layers of the ocean. We talked about large ocean animals and small ocean animals. We learned the parts of a plant and how they grow, as well as what they need to grow. We planted some flower seeds to take home. We got to taste watermelon in our classroom and used the seeds for an art craft.

Room 9 & 10 Ms. Wave, Ms. Celeste, Mr. Justin & Mr. Major

For the month of May we had a blast making slippery slime and crunchy slime. We painted water color pictures it was fun mixing all the colors together. We learned about insects our class was able to capture a preying mantis everyone gently passed it around and then we released it back outside. We learned why its important to wash our hands and how easy it is for germs to pass. May was fun but we’re ready For Summer!
