    Work Experience Surgical Technologist – Lakeland Regional Health System, Niles MI, ’03 to present Responsible for the preparation and continual maintenance of the sterile surgical field. A surgical technologist may also assist the physician during surgery and help with incoming patients.

    Layout Editor – Andrews University Student Association Newspaper Student Movement ’02-‘03 Directed the overall design and focus of the bi-weekly publication, providing direction to photographers and layout staff according to editorial decisions. Worked closely with the managing editor to create a new layout and style for the newspaper.

    Editor in Chief – Canadian University College Student Newsmagazine Aurora Chronicles ’99-’01 Managed every aspect of the publication, including editorial content, design, advertising, and finance. Worked with printing vendors to create a new look and feel for monthly newsmagazine.

    Graphic Artist – Kindopp’s Digital Printing, Red Deer AB, Summer ’01 Worked directly with clients on small-run press items, including invoices, business cards, technical manuals, brochures, logos, and applications.

    Photographer/Web Designer – MTR Enterprises, St. Joseph MI, Summer ’02 Photographed and re-touched diecast model cars for display on an online hobby store website. Worked directly with online auctions and direct mail advertising campaigns.

    Computer Skills I have intermediate to advanced expertise in the following programs: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Entourage; Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, PageMaker; CorelDraw; WordPerfect; and QuarkExpress. I also have a functional knowledge of various web editing programs, as well as the Macromedia suite, including Dreamweaver, Flash, Freehand, and Fireworks. I am fluent on both Mac and PC platforms and I have an average typing speed of about 60 wpm.
