PARENT COUNCILEmail: - [email protected] Parent Forum elected a new Committee on 16th September with Annelie Graham as the new Chairperson, Liz Waugh as the Treasurer and Susan Wallace continuing on as the Secretary. The turnout for the AGM was brilliant so hopefully that will continue. Our next meeting is on Wednesday 4th November 7.15pm at the school. Message from the new Chairperson:

“The Parents Forum is a great chance for parents to come together, share ideas and participate in helping the school. This year we are hoping to organise lots of successful fundraisers (discos and fayres, but maybe something different like a summer BBQ and school cook book etc), and possibly celebrate some interesting special days and events – we already do Comic Relief but what about International Children’s Day, Chinese New Year and the Blythswood Shoe Box appeal etc.

Even if you can’t attend the meetings, we really need parents to give us some ideas and suggestions however big or small and everything will be considered to see if it is feasible and of course fun for the children. Just as important is how the parents think the Forum money should be spent – what do you think the school would benefit from? Please approach the Parents Forum either in person, by email or Facebook. You can also post your ideas on Facebook ‘Kiltearn Parents’. Just one more point – none of the exciting things above can happen without the parents help. Please support as much as you can. Thank you.”
