Environment

Keppel Land is committed to operate its businesses in a manner that is environmentally responsible. Beyond supporting and championing green causes, the Keppel Group believes that being environmentally responsible makes good business sense.

Eco-friendly Rigs their rigs are not only known for their market-proven designs but also for being environmentally friendly. Efforts have been put in to make the KFELS Semisubmersible Drilling Tender a zero discharge vessel and to reduce emissions from the KFELS B Class jack up. These efforts were have been acknowledged by the Singapore Institution of Engineers Prestigious Engineering Achievement Awards. Leveraging our capabilities, they are also actively looking for opportunities in renewable energy such as offshore wind.

Managing Safety

Keppel Land established a Board Safety Committee (BSC) in 2006, the first by a public-listed company in Singapore, to review and develop safety policies across its multiple business units. The formation of BSC provides strong and visible leadership as well as commitment from the top.

Through the BSC, five key safety principles were developed to help encourage and drive the right behaviour in their daily operations across the Group.

Keppel's Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) 2018 strategy introduced in October 2010 allows us to focus their efforts on four key thrusts to align Group efforts and further improve their safety and health practices.

To appraise the effectiveness of their efforts to improve safety, they have been consolidating and assessing safety and health information from various business units across more than 30 countries.

Future plans Notwithstanding government tightening measures and the

softening market in Singapore and China, Keppel Land sold over 4,400 homes, mostly in China, almost twice the number sold in 2012.

During the year, Keppel Land entered into a strategic partnership with China’s largest residential developer, China Vanke, to jointly develop properties in Singapore and China. The first joint project

They have take-up in major projects including The Botanica in Chengdu as well as The Springdale and 8 Park Avenue in Shanghai.

There are plans to launch new projects such as Hill Crest Villa in Chengdu and Waterfront Residence in Nantong.

Recommendation & Conclusion

Company is well doing in Real Estate sector in Singapore and globally as well but they are doing business in joint venture or partnership in other countries so if they will do complete business by their own then it will be very beneficial for the company.

As they came up with the idea of Keppel bay water front living so they have to concentrate on the safety of building in case of any natural calamities.

As their unique and new ideas they have adopted in Singapore that they have o adopt globally.

As keppels Land is working in India as well so they have to concentrate on other part of India as because they basically concentrated on Mumbaiah
