Celebrating the New Year Differently
After all the business of Christmas, it can be a relief to sit back and take time out to mark the end of
the year. Why not join Sr Dervela Byrne and Debbie Moore for an hour, using
inspirational presentations, prayer images and scripture, group
interaction, song and personal quiet time from 11.00 pm to
midnight on New Year’s Eve, Thursday 31st December.
Iona Pastoral Centre, Idrone Ave, Knocklyon, Dublin 16.

~ Thank You ~ The Missionary Sisters of St Columban wish to acknowledge and thank most
sincerely our working committee for their total dedication, commitment and
backbreaking work in preparation for their annual Christmas Fair. We
remember too with deep gratitude our catering crew who always come up
tromps. To our volunteers who give unstintingly of themselves, our good
people of the Parish, friends, family, benefactors and our brothers – the
Columban Fathers for wonderful generosity and unfailing support despite the
weather conditions which seems to visit us on the day for the past few years.
None of this could become a reality without the support of the Priests of the
Parish. To have the use of the Parish Hall is a gift. The kind support and
generosity extended too is noted and deeply appreciated.
This year for the first time in the history of our Christmas Fair of 89 years, two
children won the top prices of a weekend away to two different locations in the
country. Thanks to Granny and Grand Aunt for these wonderful gifts. Our
super hamper gladly went to the cluster area of Clogher and was very warmly
welcomed.
A novena of Masses will be offered for you during this Holy Season as our
way of repaying you for your goodness and support in helping our overseas
missions.
Christmas Blessings and every good wish to each one for the new year.
The Columban Sisters.
