The United Kingdom is a country that consists of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. In fact, the official name of the country is "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland." Great Britain is the name of the island northwest of France and east of Ireland that consists of three regions: England, Wales and Scotland.

The Irish are funny, laid-back, work hard, play hard... They know how to enjoy themselves and love life…Most of them have red hair, they love potato, table dancing, whiskey, they are loyal, friendly, stubborn, honest, hard working…

The Irish

Lucky horseshoe. Irish brides used to carry a real horseshoe for good luck. (Turned up so the luck won't run out). You can get porcelain horseshoes which most Irish brides carry these days, or one made of fabric which is worn on the wrist.

St. Patrick's Day is celebrated by the Irish. They organize parades with a lot of food and drink, and also there are activities for kids such as crafts, coloring and games. Its a time for fun. St. Patrick's Day is celebrated on March 17, his religious feast day and the anniversary of his death in the fifth century. Irish families would traditionally attend church in the morning and celebrate in the afternoon.

The English

London Eye

Stonehenge

Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument located in the English county of Wiltshire. One of the most famous sites in the world, Stonehenge is composed of earthworks surrounding a circular setting of large standing stones.

English Setters

Big BenBig Ben is the nickname for the great bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London, and is often - incorrectly - extended to refer to the clock or the clock tower as well.

The Scottish

The Scots are friendly, but have massive chips on their shoulders because of events hundreds of years ago,Most Scots have really light skin, blonde or red hair, blue or brown eyes, a turned up nose, kind of chubby. Scots are slim and wiry, with high cheek bones. Some older Scots men tend to have a lot of facial hair, bushy eyebrows etc. A red nose is often the result of drinking too much Whisky!

Scottish castle

Traditional Scottish bagpipes.. Scotland is traditionally linked to the bagpipes, and many pipe tunes come from there. The earliest known bagpipes were played by the Hittite people about 1000 BC. They were well known in many countries before they first appeared in Scotland.

Kilt is traditional Scottish garment, usually worn by men, having about the same morphology as a wrap-around skirt, with overlapping front aprons and pleated around the sides and back, and usually made of twill-woven worsted wool with a tartan pattern…

The Welsh

Wales is mostly famous for the Welsh language, singing (Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey, Stereophonics, Catatonia, Katherine Jenkins), actors (Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor, Catherine Zeta Jones, Victor Spinetti,), beautiful countryside, coal, red Welsh gold that the Royal Family wedding rings are made from, many castles and an Italianate village at Portmerion that was the setting for (amongst other things) the cult series The Prisoner, leeks and sheep, and mountains.
