The city of Las Vegas, NV is a beautiful and thriving city. Known mainly for the famous Las Vegas Strip with numerous hotels and casinos, it is hard to imagine people who were born and raised within the city and surrounding cities. Located within Paradise and Chinatown is ample properties that could be bought and built on. This is a picture of a vacant lot but the possibilities are endless. With a bus stop within walking distance the idea of building a sports complex be ideal. The red circle designates where the complex will be built and the yellow circle is where a parking lot will be built. The blue circles show the surrouding buildings. The one off Polaris Ave is a motorcycle store and the other is a sporting goods store. A large two-story indoor complex could be built featuring three basketball/ volleyball courts, an indoor soccer field, a swimming pool with a diving board (10m, 7.5m, and 5m), and an outdoor football/ soccer field. Las Vegas does not have a professional teams due to gambling rights within the city, however that does not mean that their youth should be unable to play and participate in sport. The sports will be divided to allow appropriate playing times for each league, a table is on the last page. There would be leagues for ages 5-17 and seasoned players, 13-17 would be allowed to assist coaching staff for the younger ages, 5-12. This would instill a sense of responsibility for players who would otherwise have none. In addition to league sports after school programs will be available from the first week of September until the first week of August, this is due to year-round schooling. One month will not have after school programs to get ready for the next year. After school programs will be available to children grades K-8 and grades 9-12 will be employed with supervision of an adult to run and coordinate after school activities. Day care will also be provided for full time employees. Jobs available are listed in a table below the sports schedule table.
