WEEKLY MASS SCHEDULE
Connecting to the Word of God: Last year, Pope Francis declared the 3rd
Sunday in Ordinary Time as the “Sunday of the Word of God”. The importance of
Scripture, especially when it is proclaimed at Mass is essential to our daily lives. He wrote: “Believers are bound to listen attentively to the Word of the Lord, both in the celebration of the liturgy and in their personal prayer and reflection.” (Aperuit Ills, 7)
Attentive listening means allowing the Holy Spirit, who has inspired the Bible, to breathe life into the words we read, pray and reflect upon. This is how God’s Word continues to be “a living word”, applicable to our lives today. God may well have a message for YOU. Are you listening?
Our Mission Statement: “Jesus lives within us. We can change the world!” The power of the Eucharist fills us with the sacramental presence of Jesus whose Body & Blood we receive in Holy Communion. Along with the Word of God, our Communion with Jesus allows Him to live within us. It is with the power of Jesus that we can change the world!

Words of Appreciation: On behalf of
our Family and Youth Formation Worker Sue
Orcsik, who planned and organized the
Confirmation retreats for the students of our
Family of Parishes, sincere thanks to the adult volunteers
and teachers. Together they provided a unique
opportunity for our candidates to learn about “who they
are as young people and believers”, “what we believe
and profess in the creed” and “how to seek the guidance
of the Holy Spirit in their life-decisions”. Parishioners
are encouraged to continue to pray for our candidates
who will be confirmed as well as their families!
