SAP NetWeaver Administrator (NWA)

SAP’s tool for central administration and monitoring

of SAP NetWeaver system landscapes

Java application which is delivered as of

SAP NetWeaver ’04 SP12 Part of the standard installation

Runs locally out of the box

Must be configured for central use

Effects

A set of Release 7.1 features will be downported to 7.0 and made

accessible in SAP Solution Manager by mid-2008

The SAP Visual Administrator will be replaced with Release 7.1

Configuration for Central Use – Detailed

The following steps must be performed:

Configure and Activate the System Landscape Directory (SLD)

– Activate the Object Server

– Load the CIM model

– Start the Data Supplier Bridge

Adjust the Central Monitoring System (CEN)

– For each instance of a J2EE Engine: Register a CCMS Agent SAPCCMSR

– For each ABAP instance: Register a CCMS Agent SAPCCM4X

– Register CCMSPING and assign the monitored systems

Setup of the NWA connections

– CIM Client generation setting

– JCo RFC connection setting

– JMX monitored system account details

All of these steps can be performed by the Configuration Wizard

earlier referred to as Template Installer, which is available as of

SAP NetWeaver ‘04 SPS 15, SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SPS 06)

Expand the tree of a selected

system with its instances.

When an instance is selected, the

Start , Stop and Restart options

instance, and lets you manage

the separate J2EE processes and
