At the portAt the port, our trained interchangeteam takes your luggage from thefeeder coach to the main tour coachwhilst you freshen up in one of theterminal refreshment areas. Thisnormally takes about half an hour,then you board your tour coach,which drives onto the ferry.

We found the holiday amarvellous backdrop to

our blossoming romance. Allnine days were brilliant but Imust single out St. Paul deVence – all the cobbled streetsthere are surrounded by highwalls. No wonder it’s an artist’scolony because the lighting, justlike Venice, is extraordinary. Weloved Portofino and Monaco -another highlight – and as forSanta Margherita, I could waxlyrical about that place forever.

Great atmosphereOur drivers also helped make our holiday – a couple of naturalcomedians, they should be onstage! The unbelievable allinclusive on our holiday was verygood. The owners and staff atour hotel, the Della Mimose,were also very accommodatingand helpful. I was unwell a fewevenings and they served dinnerin my room without being asked.

Time just flys...I have never travelled on SilverService until last year, and thecomfort and company must beexperienced to be fullyappreciated – the hours justrolled by.

So until we meet again, a fondfarewell from BonnieScotland.

Our overnight stayswere always very nice

with good facilities andfriendly staff. On our journeywe saw the Leaning Towerof Pisa along with all theother magnificent buildingsin the area. Our six nightstay was in the Hotel Mary inVico Equense overlookingthe Bay of Naples where thestaff were welcoming andhelpful. I watched the sunsetting over the Bay from mybalcony and it wasbreathtaking.

So many sights...We visited Solerno and Sorrentowith plenty of free time toexplore and shop. Anotherexcursion took us to historicPompeii and Mount Vesuvius butto get to the top of the craterneeded a better pair of legs thanmine! A highlight of my holidaywas our whole day visit to theIsle of Capri where we took aboat trip around the island as wellas spending time just taking in thebeauty of the island and itsfriendly people. Another day sawus going on the Amalfi drivewhich was breathtaking and notonly the scenery but also themountainous route. Thankgoodness for the expertise of ourlocal coach driver. Rome was oneof the favourite places on our

tour, so much to see – theColiseum, Spanish Steps, theTrevi Fountain and the awesomeVatican with all its associatedtreasures. All of this and alwayswith the support of our driversand local guides. On our journeyhome we were treated to thespectacular vista of the snow-capped Dolomites.

Great companyThe people on this tour werefantastic with plenty of fun andlaughs along the way which is justwhat you want on holiday. Ourcoach was always exceptionallywell presented and our twodrivers couldn’t do enough for usand always made sure that ourvisits to different places wereinteresting. They didn’t make abad cup of tea either!This was my second Leger touringholiday. The first in 2008 was tothe French and Italian Riviera andI have already booked my nexttour, again to Italy but this timeto Lake Garda and Verona. I amlooking forward to meeting myfellow travellers and againenjoying a relaxing andentertaining journey andstay with Leger holidays.
