Lenten Season : “Rediscover Jesus”
Continuing throughout Lent Please join us in our weekly faith shar-ing groups through the Lenten season. It is an opportunity for us to come to-gether for prayer and reflection.
We will be using the book “Rediscover Jesus, an invitation” by Matthew Kelly.
The groups meet on Thursdays at Noon and 7:00pm. The book discussion group will continue to meet at 10:00am on Thursday mornings. The groups all meet in the small conference room. Please contact the rectory if you have any questions. Call Kathy at 781-272-5111 x 10.
LENTEN GUIDELINES During Lent, the following are
guidelines that we should strive to follow:
Abstinence : Catholics over 14 years of age are expected to abstain on Ash Wednesday and all Fridays during Lent. This means that meat should not be eaten on these days.
Fast : Catholics from 18-60 years of age are expected to fast on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. This means only one full meal on those days. Two other meatless meals may be taken as well as liquids throughout the day.
Weekly Lenten Services
Stations of the Cross will be held every Friday evening during Lent in the Chapel at 7:00pm. Stations of the Cross are at 3:30pm on Fridays during Lent at Saint Margaret’s Church.
The Lights are on for You every Wednesday evening during Lent from 6:30-8:00pm. All Catholics should receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation before Easter Sunday.
Easter Triduim Mass of the Lord’s Supper will be held on Holy Thursday, March 29 at 7:00pm. The Passion of the Lord will be presented on Good Friday at 3:00 & 7:00pm. The Easter Vigil will be on Holy Sat-urday starting at 8:00pm. On Easter, April 1, Masses will be held 8:00 & 10:30am.
