Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV) 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,

baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to

obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Gen 1:16-1716 And the Lord God commanded the man, "You are

free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and

evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."

1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, "Did

God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?" 2 The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, 'You

must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.'" 4 "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. 5 "For

God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." 6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom,

she took some and ate it.

Genesis 3:6 (MSG) 6 When the Woman saw that the tree looked like good

eating and realized what she would get out of it—she'd know everything!—she took and ate the fruit

and then gave some to her husband, and he ate.

Luke 11:27-28 (NIV) 27 As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, "Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you." 28 He replied, "Blessed

rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it."

Luke 6:46-47 (NIV) 46 "Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do

what I say? 47 I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into

practice.

Luke 8:21 (NIV) 20 Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to see you." 21 He replied, "My mother and brothers are those who hear God's

word and put it into practice."

John 14:21 (NIV) 21 Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is

the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself

to him."

James 1:22-25 (NIV) 22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive

yourselves. Do what it says.23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man

who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do

this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it--he will be blessed in what he does.

John 13:17 (NIV) 17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed

if you do them.

Matthew 7:24-29 (NIV) 24 "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine

and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams

rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the

rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who

built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that

house, and it fell with a great crash."

1. Obey God and leave all the consequences to Him2. It's not what you believe, it's what you OBEY that

determines your destiny. Demons believe but don't obey!

3. Spiritual maturity is based on how obedient you are, not how old you are.

4. Don’t fool yourself. You only believe the parts of the Bible you actually follow.

5. Die is the heart of ObeDIEence. I die to living for myself, or the approval of others, in order to follow God's plan for me.
