Q&A with Lifestyle Shepparton Sales Manager

“First of all the location is fantastic. You can take a day trip to the border towns on the Murray and Melbourne is an easy two and half hour drive away. Not that you really need to go anywhere as there’s always a lot to see and do locally.

This year there’s a fantastic program of arts and theatre on at the Riverlinks Entertainment Centre. Our favourites are the comedy shows, there’s nothing better than having a good laugh.

There’s also lots of local festivals like International Dairy Week and the Shepparton Festival. They’re always fun and such a great part of living in the country.

If you’re a “foodie”, then we can tell you from personal experience, there are a lot of great places to eat nearby. For a special occasion you could try somewhere like Friars Café, a converted church in Fryers Street. For more everyday occasions there are literally dozens of places to go including the RSL.

My husband Kevin loves playing lawn bowls. So naturally one of the other things we love about Shepparton is it’s home to some great clubs. When he’s not working, you’ll often find Kevin out on the bowling green here at Lifestyle Shepparton.”

Q: What’s your background Mitch, do you know shepparton well?

A: I went to school and grew up in Shepparton, so yes I know it very well.

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?

A: Well I’ve been working in the new home industry for over 10 years so I haven’t had a lot of spare time. But when I do get time off I like spending time with friends and family. I also like playing music. Up until a few years ago I was also a member of a successful local band called E.M.R.

Q: When did you join the lifestyle team?

A: Late last year. It’s great working with people who are down to earth, very supportive and passionate about what they do.

Q: What’s the most rewarding thing about your job?

A: Watching the change in people when they arrive. It’s great seeing people really enjoying themselves and their new lifestyle. For some of our homeowners it’s been a long time since they’ve been able to let their hair down and live worry free. I love the fact that I’m able to play a part in helping them make that transition.
