• Billboard maintains many international recognized record charts as conveyed throughout the magazines and uses this to get them so highly recognised for one of the good music magazines as to know all they need to about recent or new demand music. Which also follow the most popular songs and albums across different categories on a weekly basis

• The publishing agency describes the magazine as "a leading publisher of music and entertainment titles“

• Tries to bring in a range of people for a interest in music and elaborate on it by reading what's new within the magazine, also allows the audience to see what's new

• Reaches the audience of both boy and girl, as it isn't allocated to one gender

• Ranges from the of about 16, to a adult in their late 20’s as it is suitable for a range of people due to the fact that it allocates all new music but of different genres too

• It is a very matured lay out not targeting it at one age group

• Covers the likes of genres such as rock, R n B, metal, etc.

• It also doesn’t convey gossip about different singers, but gives basis information of what's new in the charts

RepresentationHow is it represented?...

• Drake is looking directly at the camera with a stern and sharp effect. The image is black and white giving it more of an effective way of looking at the magazine while everything else allocated around him has got aspects of colouring within it.

• He head is tilted towards the side but still looking eye on, the banner going across his forehead giving it more of a effect but also to show he is the main story within the magazine as he is the only image situated on the fronting of the magazine.

• The representation in this allows the target audience to automatically know what it is to be about, also that Drakes straight face conveys a serious look about his career in what we pick up.

• Q felt that instead of the average target audience being the younger generation, to instead aim it those at a older age, both gender, the age range depending on the over 25’s

•The audience is a high element when it comes to the demands of magazines, as without them it wouldn’t be a high seller, so to ensure the target market is appealed, the company input ranges of music information and stories to attract all.

•With this ‘Adele’ the icon of this release is looking directly at the camera but with a turned back, looking over shoulder. This is to give it a bigger effect, also with her finger on her lip.

•The Headline as to the image is situated at the bottom of her and the Lure of what else is to be featured in the bottom left of the magazine front cover

•The magazine cover is represented in this, just like it is released, it usually features one main singer and will have a headline story on them throughout the magazine. The writing structure fills out around them, but the picture is the highlight point as its what inflicts the target market want to read it.

•The ideology of this magazine works in a way, that as long as the overall message is conveyed, they are happy to input whatever keeps the audience reading on and purchasing it. In this magazine, ‘Rihanna’ is the highlight.

Date/issue: With this it allows us to see what date the magazine is published, and also the issue number shows the release of the amount of different issues and what issue it currently is.

Secondary Image: This is only minor but is a separate section in the magazine highlighted which is set aside from the main headlining story, as to why in reference it is smaller not being as big as the other feature.

Sub Heading/Page Reference: With this aspect, the sub heading allows you to see what will be featured throughout the magazine and is bold enough for the reader to identify. The page references allows the reader allocation as to where about each section is within the magazine.

With this highlights what is in the music magazine every month and the page numbers as to where you can find them, also in a way is the editors section as it is to be done in each issue.

Cover line: In aspect, the cover line allocates the image above and the page reference but summarises what is going on in the headline and has a quoting underneath to show what the interview is to be like.

Main Image: The main image draws attention as to who the key focus is to be throughout the magazine and in which will have the most detailed, added storyline behind the magazine. In this case shows who the text is referring to throughout the text portrayed on the other side.

Text: The detailed text indicates the factor that it is the headline story and is the main feature throughout the magazine, it allows us to know that it is either a interview with the individual or is a section of what is in about them at that period of time. Due to the excessive reading it enables us to know that it is going to following a structure and scheme.

Feature: The featuring makes the text all that more exciting and anticipating to read, The ‘L’ featured highlights the importance of ‘Lady’ representing who she is and how she is portrayed, works in such a way that it is visible to read and the target audience straight away know it is to be about her. The emphasised ‘S’ highlights a new paragraph and structures what is to be need said, it allows the audience to know a new paragraph is going to start and also drags down a few lines.
