How It’s MadeThere is always a lot of interest in how our patented and unique Flexi Clip is made.

We use music wire (pianos and guitars are strung with music wire) that is cut to length and looped at one end. We then assemble a pre-designed pattern of beads. After we finish loading the beads and the pin, we insert the straight end of the wire into the looped end, cut the wire and loop the other end which creates a firm connection.

One of the amazing features of our Patented Flexi Clip is the pin. We cast the pin with a set of three notches. The reason we do this is to prevent the pin from sliding out once it is secured in the hair. The pin is cast in a light durable metal, which is incredibly strong and, in fact, is used to make screws, nuts, and bolts you commonly use in your home.

Once the two ends are looped together in the shape of a circle, the wire is bent into a heart shape. Next we assemble the center-

piece, which is cast in a solid light metal. We solder the centerpiece to a metal band

that is formed around the heart-shape,

giving it the figure-eight look. Another

benefit is that the two metals of the band

and centerpiece are the same material,

which creates what we call an “integral weld.” The two pieces literally become one.

We plate our Flexi Clips in a variety of colors to achieve diverse appearances. The silver tone is a nickel plating that has been antiqued, giving an appealing classic look. Antique gold shimmers and shines and delights all those gold lovers. The antique brass with its dark gold hue suggests a softer vintage fashion. Lastly, the black nickel, a rich, dark, nearly jet finish, becomes subtle in dark hair, but accentuates the lighter shades.

French Twist! 1 Loosely twist up the pony tail. Leave room to fold excess hair into the pocket. 2 Bend and fold hair down, pushing into the pocket. Continue to roll until tight. 3 Use your dominant hand to slide the pin under the twist, catching as much hair along the scalp as possible. 4 Once pin is through, push the flexible end down close to the head (slide pin slightly out of the wire’s way) then push pin through it.
