SET DESIGN FOR LION KING (IDEAS)One of the Ideas was to have the sun

on a

Venetian blind and draw the sun onto the

blind.

To draw the sun on the blind you would use a permanent marker. One reason for this would be so that the ink doesn’t run. The ink might run once the stage lights are on, but can easy be done over again with the permanent marker.

PRIDE ROCK

Pride Rock is key within the lion king. This is one of the biggest set pieces that needs to be created and draw to scale.

One way that pride rock can be created it with hard board on a stage black wrapped in chicken wire and then covered in mod rock. This will give a rock effect.

SCAR’S ROCK

Scars rock will be in the same style as Pride rock but is going to have grey and black paint to show cold colours. The rock will be smaller.

Instead of having one rock I am going to have a little one with a skull and bones. These are some of

the colours I am looking for.

I want to use a star-cloth because it will show night time and in the lion king the song ‘He lives in you’ is set in the night time.

I want to use camouflage because its cheaper and easier to move around than sand. As this is a primary school show camouflage is also better for health and safety reasons.
