Club Theme
“Strength of purpose achieves the impossible”
I am about to take a new path says President Don Reed of the Redland Bay
Victoria Point Lions Club Inc.
THEIR COMMON THREAD IS WOOL.
Lion Celeste Parker from Cleveland Challenge
with President Don Reed.
T hough we number less than twenty
We’ve got ideas broad and plenty.
This meeting is for business votes
It’s correspondence, cheques and notes.
We all discuss the pros and
cons
Of wise suggestions from
President Don.
And Julie likes to check all
things
That a member to the table
brings.
Because we’re hungry we love the food
It puts us in a happy mood.
So then the meeting can be fun
For the twenty workers who always come.

L ions I would like to share the following with you, Many see community service as a means to an end
Some might see it as a way to get service points while socializing, while others may view it as an unfortunate (and often inconvenient) necessity of life. But is that true community service? I say community service is an attitude. Are you doing it for the right reasons? I’m not saying there won’t be some mornings when you would rather sleep your heart out than wrap your heart out. What I am talking about is that in the end, when it is all done, and you are once again well rested, you can look back and realize that you did something worthwhile. That helped your fellow man in some way.
