A strong trade for the draft ewes with top on the day at £70

from David Couch, Couch’s Mill.

162 New season lambs saw a faster trade for all weights and a

lot more could have taken advantage on the trade. Overall

average of 227.6p per kilo and £94.16 a head. Top per kilo was

234p for two pens of 42 kilos (£98.20) from Ed Doidge,

Brendon Farm, Trewidland. Top on the day was £98.50 for a

pen of 43 kilos from David Conn, Penshoey, St Martins with four other vendors realising £98.20.

Breeding ewes saw a large crowd of prospective buyers in attendance resulting in a flying trade and a total

clearance. Several pens over £150 and to a top of £160 for two pens of Dorset 2T from Messrs WJ Harris &

Son, Mount, Bodmin.

Annual Show & Sale on behalf of the Polled Dorset and Dorset Horn sheep breeders association.
