You can grow a list quickly by doing tons of ad swaps. It is possible to swap your way up to 100,000 subscribers in less than 6 months.

But what kind of a list will you have at the end of it? It won't be responsive and the only thing you'll be able to brag about is your numbers.

It will basically be a worthless list.

Tiny List

One the other hand, you can just build your entire list from high-quality sources such as article marketing.

If you do that, you'll probably burn out quickly from all the writing. Eventually, you'll just run out of things to write and get writers block.

And your stubborn refusal to do any ad swaps will stop you from expanding your list and attracting new subscribers who might be interested in what you have to say and become buyers of the products that you recommend.

Some marketers are stubborn and think that ad swaps will dilute their lists. The key thing to remember is that, unless your subscribers came from some dark corner of the internet, the chances are that they are also on other lists anyway. Stop being so possessive of them!

Better to just be yourself and differentiate yourself from others.
