Covering all strands in the Australian Curriculum: English Literacy Network enables you to plan, program and teach your middle–upper primary literacy block with ease.

The focus is on developing key comprehension skills and strategies while learning to read and compose a variety of text types. To facilitate this the program provides listening, reading, writing, speaking and viewing experiences with print, oral, digital and multimodal texts.

The teaching/learning approach provides for:

Developing critical literacy skills is essential in middle–upper primary.

The high-interest novels with supporting activities in the Critical Literacy Boxes assist

in developing these skills via analysis and response to fiction.

Each box contains:

• 60 Novels (6x 10 Novels)

• 6x copies of each Activity Card

• Answer Cards

Books are also available individually

Built around engaging topics to capture student interest, all the resources in Literacy Network are interlinked but can stand independently.

Teacher Resource Books

A comprehensive yet flexible teaching framework for reading, writing, listening and critical literacy is outlined in the Teacher Resource Books.

A wide range of activities and assessment worksheets are provided.

The vibrant, high-interest Magazines contain a variety of short texts ideal for guided reading.

Focusing on a common theme, each magazine can be used to explicitly developreading skills and strategies, comprehension, and understanding of a widevariety of imaginative, informative and persuasive text types.

Each magazine focuses on developing key comprehension skills.In this phase comprehension skills are targeted with explicit work to develop understanding and master strategies.
